Miami: Vice City

May 30th, 2006

Well, lots of stuff happened last night. First, we went back to the hotel to change and what not. And went back out to South Beach. We walked around for a while just checking out the scene. We finally happened upon a club that Nathan wanted to go into. So we got in line. A [...]

Miami Baby!

May 29th, 2006

Well, me and Nathan have gone to Miami. We are going to see a baseball game on Tuesday (it will be my first baseball game). Of course, we are going to check out Miami while we are at it. So far we have walked around near South Beach. Quite the crazys. One guy was just [...]

Palm for x64

May 26th, 2006

I emailed a few people at Palm asking about x64 support quite a while back, but didn’t get much help. I was wondering if everyone who would like to use Palm (like the upcoming Tree 700p) on x64 could email them also:
ed.colligan at palm.com – President and CEO
ken.wirt at palm.com
john.hartnett at palm.com – SVP, Worldwide [...]

Picasa for Linux!

May 26th, 2006

It’s here! Picasa for Linux. Unfortunately, it runs on Wine, but still. And of course, it isn’t open source, but I am not going to bash Google for that. I don’t expect them to release it as OSS, and don’t ask them to. It’s their software, do with it as they wish.

Lub Dub

I have signed up for VoicePulse. It’s a great VoIP phone service, similar to Vonage. The business plan may cost a little more, but I can get so much more with it than Vonage. Vonage would not give me a second line with my number and use it for faxes, but VoicePulse would. So I [...]

Outsourcing

May 18th, 2006

No, my zip code is not 338011.
Vonage outsources. I really want Vonage, but unfortunately, can not use them, because they will not transfer my second phone number to the free fax line that they give you in the small business plan. I hate Verizon. Maybe it’s all the “V’s.”

Best. Color. Laser. Ever.

May 17th, 2006

I setup the best office color laser I have ever worked with before today. It was a Xerox Phaser 8500. Here are a few of the things that made it great:

Solid ink tablets – no toner cartridge waste
Network/USB support, and a great network page to go along with it
Windows and Mac drivers built into the [...]

Pack ‘em Up

May 15th, 2006

Well, my parents want to move even sooner, which means I have to think even sooner about what I am going to do. I am looking for some office space… about 300 sq feet, and I’d like to find it for about $300. Know of anything? I don’t need storefront… just office space, and preferably [...]

72 Degrees

May 8th, 2006

My office now stays at a steady 72 degrees. It feels wonderful in here. Me and Jessica come in here and hang out every once and a while now too to cool down. My closet stays at about 75 degrees. There are currently two servers running in there (along with UPS’s, cable modem, router, switch). [...]
